A Thousand Big Brothers: How Your Data Is Collected Online and What to Do About It
28/07/2025
The human rights initiative “Journalists for Tolerance” invites you to a free webinar. Google, social networks, shops, even your favourite coffee chain — all of them collect information about you every single day. But what exactly do they know? And how does this affect your freedom and security?
At the free webinar “A Thousand Big Brothers: How Your Data Is Collected Online and What to Do About It” we will discuss:
- what kind of data Google or ChatGPT can “dig up” about you;
- what hides behind cookies on websites and why they are everywhere;
- what happens to your data when you tick “I agree” in a form or when receiving a discount card;
- which rights GDPR guarantees you and how to use them wisely
