“Invisible Work” collage workshop in Warsaw

“Invisible Work” collage workshop in Warsaw

09/09/2026

Much of women’s work never makes it onto a CV. Yet it is often what keeps life going: caring for loved ones, running a household, giving emotional support, adapting to life in emigration, looking for a job, starting something new. Women do a great deal, and they often undervalue their own efforts.

On 19 September in Warsaw, the Invisible Work initiative is holding a collage workshop for Belarusian women about the experience of women’s invisible work.

At the workshop, participants will talk about what usually goes unnoticed, look for images that express it and put them together into a collage.

No artistic skills are needed, only a wish to explore your own experience. Artists Katsia and Ira will help you make your collage.

The workshop is part of the Invisible Work project, which aims to create an online exhibition about women’s invisible work. Every collage will become part of it: the collages will be photographed, and participants will be asked to write a few sentences about the meaning they put into their work. Together, the collage and the story will make a single statement.

We invite those who are ready to take part in the whole project: make a collage at the workshop and share the story behind it. Each participant decides how to present her story: under her own name, under a pseudonym or fully anonymously.

When: 19 September, 12:30–15:30
Where: Warsaw, ul. Jazdów 3/12

Participation is free. Places are limited.
