Six Diversity Summer Camp

Six Diversity Summer Camp

17/07/2025

Human Rights Initiative “Journalists for Tolerance” (J4T) invites you to the Diversity Summer Camp!

For the sixth year in a row, we are organising an offline opportunity to learn more about human rights, xenophobia, and non-discrimination. This time the Summer Camp will take place on 28 August – 1 September 2025 near Warsaw, Poland.

Who is the Summer Camp for?

The mission of J4T is to promote a culture of tolerance and inclusion in Belarusian society through language and communication. That is why we invite those who work in the field of information dissemination: journalists and editors, bloggers and influencers, show and podcast hosts, writers. We also welcome queer activists.

What will we do?

We will have 4 intensive days of non-formal education, engaging formats, interaction, and active participation. You will have the opportunity to:

  • dive into the topic of human rights at a basic level
  • learn more about xenophobia, tolerance, the impact of stereotypes, and the situation of vulnerable groups in society
  • learn to identify manifestations of stigmatisation and discrimination, and find out how to avoid them in professional journalistic, writing, and activist activities

Application

The number of places is limited. To take part in the competition, please fill in this form by 28 July 2025 inclusive.

Among other things, in the form we ask you to provide contacts of representatives of Belarusian media and NGOs who can verify you.

During the Summer Camp we provide meals, accommodation in double rooms, and travel expenses to Warsaw. Selected participants cover their own insurance costs for their stay in Poland. The exact location will be shared with the selected participants.

We will inform you about the selection results via the contacts you provide on 4 August.
